Donating to the construction of the clinic will change the trajectory of thousands of lives, and reshape a community in the Amazon rainforest.
The projected completion date for the new state-of-the-art medical facility in the town of Mazán is 2016. It will serve a growing population, many living in extreme poverty, and provide a base for the health education and medical care that is key to reducing the staggering levels of preventable illnesses and death in the region.
Organizations responsible for the construction of this facility include: Siemens A.G., Project Amazonas, the Ministry of Health, local government, and AidJoy. This collaborative effort will result in a modern, well staffed, and well-equipped clinic that will improve the quality and duration of life for tens-of-thousands of people in the region. It also creates a health-care model to be emulated, both within the Peruvian Amazon, and in other underdeveloped regions in the world.
Donating to the construction of the clinic will change the trajectory of thousands of lives, and reshape a community in the Amazon rainforest.
Siemens AG donated $100,000 to Project Amazonas for the construction of the medical facility in Mazan. Siemens employees from across the globe are working together raising awareness of the importance of expanding medical aid in the Peruvian Amazon and raising funds both within Siemens and beyond the organization.
